St. Helena Parish School District has partnered with the Louisiana Department of Health and Omega Diagnostics to provide weekly COVID-19 testing to all employees and students. This additional layer of protection will assist us in keeping everyone healthy and safe during the school day.
Our Weekly COVID-19 Testing Program began Tuesday, October 5, 2021 and will continue throughout the year. Testing is voluntary, but highly encouraged to keep our school community safe.
Each time you’re tested, you earn a payment. Participants will receive $25.00 for the initial test and $10.00 for each test thereafter. Each month, your virtual card will be reloaded based on the number of tests taken. For a safer, smarter school, getting tested really pays off!
A parent or legal guardian must register any minor under 18 years old. You will be asked to complete a one-time consent and HIPAA authorization form in order for the test results to be shared with the school and district. Testing is voluntary, but highly encouraged to keep our school community safe. The testing performed will be non-invasive anterior nasal PCR testing.
We will be testing every Tuesday. Results will be delivered to you by text or email within 24 hours and the Omega Diagnostics team will follow-up with you directly if your child has a positive result.
