Announcement
Dear Parents and Guardians of St. Helena College and Career Academy, In light of the impending storm, we will be dismissing school early today at 2:30 PM. To ensure everyone's safety, there will be no school on Wednesday, September 11th. For those students who were present today, assignment packets have been sent home. On Thursday, September 12th, we will transition to a virtual learning day. Students will be expected to complete their assignments and participate in Teams meetings from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM for direct instruction. We plan to resume in-person classes on Friday, September 13th. However, we understand that the storm may affect families in different ways, and some students may face challenges with participation due to evacuations, power outages, or storm damage. Please know that while we expect students to engage in virtual learning, we will be flexible and understanding of each family's situation. Your safety and well-being are our top priority. Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe.

Donations can be dropped off anytime during the day or after band practice at the band hall. Thank you for your continued support and generosity. Together, we can help our band soar to new heights! 🖤💛 #StHelenaWinning

ATTENTION: This morning, a potential threat on campus was reported by one of our learners at the start of the school day. Upon receiving the report, we took immediate and decisive action to secure all learners in their classrooms, minimizing movement across the campus. The School Resource Officer promptly contacted local authorities, who are now actively addressing the situation. The current security measures will remain in place until we are assured that the issue is fully resolved and the safety of our learners and staff is guaranteed. We are closely collaborating with the St. Helena Sheriff’s Office and will provide updates as the situation progresses. We are grateful for the high level of security we have on campus daily, which allowed for a swift and effective response. Please rest assured that we are taking every possible step to ensure a safe environment for your children. 10:32am UPDATE: The local authorities are still doing a thorough sweep of the school campus and surrounding area. So far, nothing has been found. Learners will move to their next period class. 11:45am UPDATE: The local authorities did not find any weapons on campus or the surrounding area. School is now back to normal operations. Parents, please be aware that we take all reports and potential threats seriously. We, along with our SRO and local authorities will do whatever is necessary to ensure the safety of everyone on campus.
